The Road Closed Does Not Cancel the Destination
Reading: Acts 14:1-7
Devotional: Opposition and fruitfulness can occupy the same space at the same time. Paul
and Barnabas watched people come to faith even as resistance was growing around them. It is tempting to interpret difficulty as a sign that you have missed God, as though his approval would guarantee a smooth path. But the opposite may be true.
Resistance can be a signal that you are precisely where you are supposed to be. The route may require adjustment, but the mission does not change. Ask yourself today: am I confusing a closed road with a cancelled calling?
Reflection Question: Where in your life are you mistaking difficulty for divine disapproval?
Practical Application: Write down one area of your life where resistance has made you question whether God is present. Then write a prayer surrendering that space back to him and asking for clarity about your next faithful step.
