Continually Filled With Joy
Continually Filled With Joy
Reading: Acts 13:52 — The disciples in Pisidian Antioch, even after the missionaries had been driven out, remained continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Devotional:
The missionaries were gone. The opposition was still present. And yet the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. This was not circumstantial happiness. It was not the result of favorable conditions or the presence of Paul and Barnabas. It was the fruit of genuine belief, sustained by the Spirit who does not leave when the moment gets hard.
Joy anchored in the resurrection of Jesus cannot be overturned by persecution, rejection, or loss. It is not a feeling you manufacture — it is a reality you receive and return to again and again. Today, come back to the source. Let the Spirit fill what has grown empty. The grace that first reached you has not run out.
Reflection Questions:
Prayer Focus: Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh today — not as a one-time event, but as a daily posture of surrender and dependence. Ask God to restore the joy of your salvation and make it the source of your strength going forward.

Reflection Questions:
- What has been draining your joy, and is it something that has the final word in your life?
- What would it mean to be continually filled, rather than occasionally refilled only in moments of crisis?
