Opening Your Mouth

Opening Your Mouth

Reading: Acts 10:34-43

Devotional: Standing inside Cornelius' house, Peter understood something he had not fully grasped before: God shows no partiality. The gospel is for every nation and every person. That revelation did not stay theoretical. Peter opened his mouth and declared it.

The consistent pattern throughout Acts is unmistakable -- the Holy Spirit fills, and then someone speaks. Boldness follows. Witness follows. Prophecy follows. The evidence is always vocal. Silence is often not humility; it is fear dressed in restraint. You carry eyewitness testimony of a risen King. You do not need perfect words. You need an open mouth and a willing heart. The room may already be prepared for you.

Reflection: Who in your life is waiting to hear what God has done? What is keeping you from opening your mouth?
