The Humility to Build for Others
The Humility to Build for Others
Reading: Romans 12:3-8 -- Paul's instruction that believers should not think of themselves more highly than they ought, but instead recognize and use their gifts in service to the body.
Devotional: Barnabas witnessed a genuine move of God in Antioch and did something remarkable -- he went to find someone better suited than himself to lead it. He did not protect his position. He did not build his own platform. He recruited Saul, a former enemy of the church, because the mission mattered more than his own prominence.
True spiritual maturity looks like this: recognizing where the grace of God is already working and asking not how you can lead it, but how you can strengthen it. Who in your life might God be calling you to advocate for, even at personal cost to yourself?
