When the Spirit Falls
Reading: Acts 10:44-46
Devotional: Peter had not finished his sermon. He had not given an altar call. He had not reached the end of his notes. And the Holy Spirit interrupted everything. This is the nature of divine fire -- it does not wait for perfect conditions or polished presentations. It falls. Throughout Acts, the pattern is consistent: the Spirit comes upon people and something immediately becomes evident. It is observable. It is undeniable.
God did not design the work of the Holy Spirit to be quiet, manageable, or invisible. He designed it to be power -- dunamis -- that witnesses could see and hear. Do not settle for explaining a power you no longer expect to experience.
Reflection: Have you allowed cynicism or familiarity to replace genuine expectation? Ask God today to renew your hunger for His active, evident presence.
