Opposition Is Not a Closed Door
Opposition Is Not a Closed Door
Reading: 1 Corinthians 16:9
Devotional: Paul wrote that a wide and effective door had opened for him, and in the same breath acknowledged that many adversaries stood within it. This is not a contradiction. This is the consistent pattern of kingdom advancement. When Barnabas and Saul arrived at the proconsul's door, Elymas was already there, working to twist and obstruct the gospel. Yet opposition did not mean the door was shut. It meant the opportunity was contested, as it always is.
Do not mistake resistance for rejection from God. The atmosphere pushes hardest against the rocket that is actually moving. If you are facing opposition today, you may simply be moving in the right direction.
