Called and Set Apart
Called and Set Apart
Reading: Isaiah 6:1-8
Devotional: The call of Isaiah mirrors the pattern of Antioch. First, there is an encounter with God in worship. Then comes an honest reckoning with who we are. Then comes the commissioning.
God did not call Barnabas and Saul because they had cleared their schedules. He called them while they were already serving faithfully. The call was personal before it was geographical. They did not yet know where they were going. They only knew who was sending them. Calling begins with belonging. God's first question is not where will you go, but will you be mine. Answer that question honestly today, and let everything else follow from it.
